Product use

The Sofa Foam Hardness Tester is a professional testing instrument specially used for measuring the indentation hardness and softness of polyurethane foam, sponge cushions, sofa padding and other flexible materials. Adopting a precision pressure sensor and digital display control system, the machine can accurately test key indicators such as 25%, 40% and 65% indentation force deflection (IFD) as required by international standards.
It features stable mechanical structure, adjustable test speed, automatic pressing and reset functions, ensuring high repeatability and reliable test data. Widely used in furniture manufacturers, foam material factories, testing institutions and quality control laboratories, this equipment helps evaluate sitting comfort, durability and product consistency of sofas, cushions and mattresses.
Simple to operate and robust in structure, it fully meets ISO 3385, ASTM D3574 and GB/T 10807 test requirements, providing strong support for product development and quality inspection.

BIFMA X 5.1 clause 18 (Front Load Test/ Side Load Test) 1. Functional Load Test/ Proof Load Test  A force of 334 N (75 lbf .) shall be applied once to each front leg individuallyfor one (1) minute. Remove the force  2. Proof Load Test Similar with functional load test, but the force is 503 N (113 lbf)

BIFMA X 5.1 clause 13 (Arm Strength Test - Vertical - Static) 1. Functional Load A force of 750 N (169 lbf.) shall be applied for one (1) minute. Remove the force. . Proof Load A force of 1125 N (253 lbf.) shall be applied for one (1) minute.
