Product Overview

This machine is used to determine the indentation hardness of poroelastic materials. It can conduct tests in accordance with national standards on polyurethane foam samples and accurately measure the indentation hardness of materials such as sponges and foams. Additionally, it can be applied to measure the specified indentation hardness of manufactured seat foams (including backrest foam, cushion foam and other components), so as to precisely detect the indentation hardness of various foam parts of seats.

Working Principle of the Product:

In the compression stress test for sponge and foam materials, the test sample is placed between the upper and lower compression plates. The upper plate compresses the sample of a fixed size downward at a specified speed until the indentation depth specified by Method A (Method B, Method C) in the national standard is reached. The load cell mounted on it feeds the sensed pressure data back to the controller for processing and display, so as to measure the indentation hardness of materials such as sponges and foams.

Scope of Application:

Widely applicable to soft materials such as sponge, foamed foam, latex and soft polyurethane; it covers the hardness and compression performance testing in industries including furniture cushions, mattresses, shoe materials, packaging liners, automotive interiors, and rubber & plastic foamed products.
